Abstract:
The article looks at the Russian names Ivan and Natasha, which have the status of precedent names in the international discourse. A comparison of connotations, connected with these names in the Russian national and international discourse, makes it possible to tease out reasons and conditions that explain the negative coloring these names have acquired in the context of current international relations.
