Abstract:
The article examines an important instance of reception of the classical Greek heritage by the Russian culture, namely utilization of ancient philosophers’ methods by Russian scribes. Vasily Surazhsky’s treatise was one of the first answers of the Russian scribes to the polemic works by Catholic authors.
