Author’s name:

Branko Vraneš

Abstract:

In his body of work, Serbian poet Vasko Popa tirelessly sought to express the abstract categories of “emptiness” and “absence,” striving to humanize and reaffirm the beauty of nothingness. The article examines the symbolic essence of Popa’s modernist quest, which resulted in disintegration of modernism.
