Abstract:
The article presents a survey of key schools within comparative media linguistics, covered in the journal Political Linguistics over the last five years, namely: comparative media stylistics and comparative cognitive-discourse research. The obvious relevance and efficiency of these research fields make it possible to conclude that comparative media linguistics may be treated as an independent school with its own fundamental theory and methodoligical base.
