Abstract:

The article explores the theme of Napoleon’s death reflected in the poetic works of A.S. Pushkin and its impact on the evolution of the French Emperor’s image in Pushkin’s works in the 1820-30s. The author demonstrate the difference between young Pushkin’s perception of Napoleon’s image and its romantic and post-romantic versions.
