Abstract:
The work of Branislav Nusic, a 19th century Serbian writer, is known for its great artistic and genre diversity. The article highlights the value and importance of his prose fiction and dramatic contributions, outlines the principal methods and approaches to studying his literary legacy, and describes ways of including his work into school curricula. Introducing texts by Branislav Nusic into programs of elementary, secondary, and vocational schools has demonstrated their positive effect on developing students’ reading skills, creative thinking, and imagination as well as on boosting their interest in literature and theater.
