Abstract:
The article describes the structure of the special word-formation family, comprised of phraseological units and all the words derived from them, in the modern Russian language. Based on the analysis of selected examples, the author concludes that the apex of the family of derivatives, formed a specific phraseological unit, may be both a component of this unit and the whole phraseological unit. It is also demonstrated that the structure of the family of words, formed from phraseological units, can be investigated both in its syntagmatic and its paradigmatic aspects.
