INTUITIVE LANGUAGE COMPETENCE AS THE ORIENTATION FUNCTION OF HOMO SAPIENS IN THE COGNITIVE-REFLEXIVE DOMAIN

Abstract:

The article presents the results of a linguistic pedagogical experimental study, conducted with the students of the Northeast State University in Magadan, in order to substantiate the authors’ hypothesis that the heuristic potential of intuitive language competence may serve as a means of activating scientific mentality. During the study, the students demonstrated creativity and ability to develop theoretical constructs based solely on the knowledge of terms’ etymology and synonyms, without being aware of their definitions.
