Abstract:
The paper investigates semantic transformations of set expressions in Russian regional mass media coverage of recent years. The author describes paradigmatic and syntagmatic types of set expressions on the lexical, word formation, morphological, and syntactic levels of the language system, and hypothesizes the existence of semantic transformation models that act as mechanisms of actualizing the culture code in customary social usage.
