Abstract:
Based on modern theory and methodology of professional education, the article defines and describes the multicultural educational environment, complete with its content, structural elements (cognitive, emotional, axiological, and regulative dimensions), and functions (character education, social orientation, cultural formation). It also clarifies the key concept of the research, reviewing the current Russian and foreign research literature on the subject and taking into account existing definitions of related pedagogical categories.
