Abstract:
The article presents the results of the study of oral speech produced by members of the Bundestag who are thus seen as participants in the German-speaking parliamentary discourse. The study focused on temporal, dynamic, and melodic features of the prosodic structure of spontaneous and neutral utterances which communicate persistence. Statistical methods made it possible to confirm the significance of specific prosodic features in expressing persistence in spoken language.
