Abstract:
The article highlights conceptual peculiarities of the national concept „American dream‟ detected though examining the corpus of texts of Contemporary American English for the years 1990–1991, 2011–2012, and 2014–2015. The typological research concentrates on the frequency of the collocation „American dream‟ in different genres, the lexical distribution of its components, and their semantic prosody, which all reflect the national perception of the concept.
