Abstract:
The paper studies associative links between words within a text using the method of free association. It establishes associative meaning fields and associative word structures within a given text, determines the associative background and the associative image of texts, and concludes that associative properties of texts vary depending on how their passages are constructed as well as on their functional type and style of texts.
