Abstract:
The article describes particular features of phatic communication, which is considered a significant component of interpersonal intercourse. The object of the analysis is phatic metacommunicatives which serve as specific discourse markers that perform social-regulating function in the interview media discourse. They facilitate effective transmission of cognitive information at all stages of communication and contribute to developing friendly relations between interlocutors.
