LEXICAL FEATURES OF SPORTS DISCOURSE IN RUSSIAN AND GERMAN: THE TERMINOLOGY OF FIGURE SKATING DISCOURSE

Abstract:

The article discusses lexical features of sports discourse in Russian and German based on a bilingual glossary of figure skating terms. The authors provide a comparative analysis of Russian and German figure skating terms and define their characteristic features within the figure skating discourse, classifying them according to their morphemic structure, number of stems, type of word formation, etymology, type of motivation and usage.
