Abstract:
The article examines the literary hoax in the work of the French writer Andreï Makine and provides information about the author and his novels, published under his real name and under the pseudonym Gabriel Osmonde. The article investigates possible reasons for Makine to have created this alter ago and specifies the goals that the writer managed to achieve through this hoax.
