Abstract:
The article concentrates on the problem of translating expletives from English into Russian, revealing a number of correspondences between English and Russian expletives at the level of their formal presence in a sentence, their morphological and syntactic characteristics, stylistic register, lexical meaning, and pragmatic abilities.
