Abstract:
This article analyzes the elegiac context of A. P. Platonov’s play The Father’s Voice, demonstrating a connection of the play’s stylistic leitmotiv with the churchyard elegy tradition and describing its role in shaping and bringing out the spiritual and moral significance of the play’s events.
