Abstract:
Notions of predicativity and modality in a sentence often seem to overlap, yet, if context is taken into consideration, study of these concepts’ interplay can be more effective. In a fiction text predicativity and modality act as basic characteristics of two opposing and at the same time interrelated levels: contents and sense respectively.
