Abstract:
The article explores the phenomenon of a career guidance environment within a modern educational institution and assesses its significance for students’ professional self-determination. The object of the study is the environment of professional self-determination in an educational organization. The author identifies the key components and basic principles of creating such an environment, as well as examining current trends and challenges in career guidance activities. The career guidance environment is interpreted not simply as a set of conditions but as a holistic system that not only promotes conscious career choice but also helps students understand their inclinations, assess their capabilities, and navigate the diversity of professions. The author emphasizes that forming such an environment requires not only material and technical support (specially equipped facilities, information resources, etc.) but also thorough methodological development, the availability of qualified specialists, and a well-designed system of psychological and pedagogical assistance. The article proposes methods for overcoming existing difficulties and outlines prospects for the development of the career guidance environment. The author pays special attention to the impact of digitalization and changes in the labor market on career guidance. The opportunities opened by digital technologies are noted: for example, online diagnostics make it possible to reach a wider audience, while virtual tours and interactive platforms make learning about professions more visual and engaging. At the same time, the author points to the challenges associated with the rapid transformation of the professional sphere and the need to promptly adapt career guidance programs to new realities. Considerable attention is paid to the interaction of general education institutions with external organizations — institutions of higher and secondary vocational education, enterprises, and employment services. Such partnership, in the author’s opinion, gives career guidance work a practical orientation and allows students to gain a realistic understanding of professional tasks and employer requirements. This study emphasizes the importance of the entrepreneurial component in creating a career guidance environment in an educational institution. The author analyzes the potential for integrating entrepreneurial elements into the educational process and their impact on the development of competencies necessary for young people to succeed in today’s economic reality.
