Abstract:
The article examines the possibility of using foreign language comic books to teach elementary level speaking skills (particularly, oral monologs) and discusses the criteria for their selection. The comic book genre is particularly conducive to teaching students how to maintain consistency and cohesion of their narrative, thus developing their oral communicative skills.
