Abstract:
The article examines the stylistic function of legal vocabulary in Marcel Proust’s novel In Search of Lost Time, analyzing different legal terms, both isolated and those belonging to specific branches of law, and studying legal vocabulary within stylistic figures, particularly in comparisons and metaphors, used by the author to describe everyday situations, such as the beginning of Swann’s love towards Odette.
