Abstract:
The article describes the structure and basic ideas of the project “Teaching Foreign Languages as a School Subject,” aimed at renovating the content and technologies of teaching foreign languages in secondary schools of the Russian Federation. The project presents a strategy for developing foreign language education in Russia, specifying the goals, principles, practices and ways of practical implementation of the strategy in the nearest future.
