Abstract:
The article looks at teaching foreign language courses in non-linguistic colleges and universities and insists that such courses should be taught differently for future teachers and future translators/interpreters respectively, since for translators/interpreters successful mastery of the language is both a means of achieving specific professional objectives and one of the prerequisites for full development of professional thinking in the field of translation / interpretation.
