Abstract:

The article deals with the historical and pedagogical background of university-level foreign language training in the multicultural environment of Slovakia, specially focusing on the experience of Prešov University in Prešov. The author provides a brief history of pedagogy in the Slovak Republic and analyzes some of the literature on foreign language training in the multicultural environment of Slovakia, published in 1993 – 2011.
