Abstract:
The paper looks at speech acts of indignation, used in modern political discourse for self-presentation, and their role in formation of high perlocutive effect in speeches of V. Zhirinovsky, identifying language means that reflect the intentionally provocative and ostentatious nature of these speech acts in the politician’s discourse.
