DEVELOPING A MULTICULTURAL PERSONALITY AS A GOAL OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING

Abstract:

The article looks at developing a multicultural personality as a key category of foreign language education. The author examines the concept of “multicultural personality,” emphasizing the importance of its multilevel structure that includes the linguistic level, the cognitive level, the affective level, and the activity level, and points out the necessity of deliberately considering the content and structrure of the multicultural personality in selecting language units and competencies in foreign language teaching.
