Abstract:
T. Williams always called himself a Christian writer, constantly emphasizing the role of religion in his life. The playwright was always preoccupied with a person’s relationship with God, questions of true faith, and the role of religious doctrines and clergy. A thorough analysis of the characters’ search for God in the later play “Small Craft Warnings” (1972) reveals the writer’s personal attitude to religious issues and his perception of God in his later years.
