Abstract:
The article discusses elements of the linguistic picture of the world that are present in essays of secondary school students. The objective of the article is to characterize the linguistic picture of the world, values, concepts, semantic fields and usage aspects of these concepts within the secondary school essay discourse. The study paves the way for further analysis of the discourse in question as it looks at the writers’ personal picture of the world, characterized by a fundamental incompleteness, as evidenced in students’ essays.
