Abstract:

The article defines major investigation trajectories in studying videoblogs as a part of computer-mediated communication. It focuses on factors that describe the communicative environment of videoblogs, the speech community of videobloggers, and communicative activities of modern British youth, and substantiates the application of sociolinguistic methods in investigating videobloggers’ speech.
