PEDAGOGICAL PREREQUISITES FOR IMPLEMENTING AN INDIVIDUAL GRADED APPROACH IN PRIMARY FOREIGN LANGUAGE EDUCATION

Abstract:

The article presents the system of pedagogical prerequisites for implementing an individual graded approach in primary foreign language education. These prerequisites include taking into account cognitive, motivational, and operational aspects of foreign language acquisition. The article offers a step-by-step program for developing students’ communicative competences in the process of acquiring English language skills, presents “Vocabulary of Success”: an original teaching and learning strategy aimed at fostering vocabulary competence, and describes a graded approach to training based on students’ level of interest towards the foreign culture.
