Abstract:
The article deals with verbal impact techniques that currently prevail in regional mass media. Analyzing regional media texts, the author notes tendencies towards increased expressiveness, a more active usage of terminology and professionalisms as well as euphemisms, dysphemisms and slang words, and singles out metaphorizing as one of the most common verbal impact techniques.
