Abstract:

The article proves the necessity of using the Portfolio as a useful innovative technology within the methodology of teaching foreign languages in modern schools. With reference to Russia’s Federal State Educational Standards, it formulates the main requirements for using the portfolio in teaching foreign languages and offers recommendations for designing educational activities using the innovative portfolio technology.
