Abstract:
The article discusses some difficulties connected with translating texts on history of the state and law in Russia at the turn of the 19th and the 20th centuries. Such texts combine features of both legal and historical texts, which must definitely be taken into account in the process of translation, and the authors provide examples of dealing with this challenge by analyzing two articles on the aforementioned topic.
