Abstract:
The article looks at the phenomenon of semantic syncretism of preventive structures in the Russian language, analyzes utterances in which the semantics of caution is either complicated by the meaning of parting words, instructions, and advice, or provides the subordinating meanings of request, requirement, interdiction, or command.
