Abstract:
The article discusses non-verbal means of expressing friendliness in interpersonal communication, based on data from lexicographical sources, free associative experiments, and examples from English literary works. The author identifies and describes a number of such non-verbal communicative means including facial expressions, gestures, and pantomimic movements.
