Abstract:
The article analyzes current problems of modern Western Protestant hermeneutics. Since, dogmatically, Biblical hermeneutics remains central to all theological disciplines, it must rise to the challenges of modern times. Specifically, it must resolve the tension between the growing inefficacy of its traditional models and apparent logical inconsistency of the new ones.
