Abstract:
In English and Russian substandard systems semantic derivation plays a greater role in naming people in comparison with literary languages, where this category is mostly morphological. The role of semantic derivation is greater in some areas of the analyzed lexical-semantic group, which stresses the importance of the choice of one or the other level of generalization while analyzing naming tendencies. Such distribution of naming means is due to the secondary character of the analyzed subsystems and the peculiarities of their naming processes.
