Abstract:
The article looks at verbal representations of the concept “work,” one of the key concepts of the Chinese culture, demonstrating its national and cultural uniqueness in national stereotypes, quasi-symbols, and axiological characteristics through the analysis of Chinese phraseology, notably the proverbs. By using the methods of ideographical parameterization and logeme deduction, the author identifies three elements in the structure of the concept: the process of work, the performer of work, and the result of work.
