Abstract:
Irish society being a new dynamic poly-ethnicity language community, three main groups of Irish English language speakers can be clearly identified, each group inter-related with and inter-dependent on the other two. The directions of these interactions can be distinguished within the format of the existing opposite language-and-culture tendencies. On the basis of the original research as well as considering the Irish 2002, 2011 and 2016 Census results, the article describes each group’s status characteristics and suggests ways of their further development.
