Abstract:
The article examines linguistic mechanisms of political bias in mass media discourse at the lexical, morphological, and syntactical levels. It explores the linguistic means of feigning objectiveness and impartiality used by the press to inculcate specific ideas connected with free speech and freedom of expression and aimed at highlighting political convictions and values of the Western society.
