Abstract:
The article attempts to define the notion of „film construct‟ as a contemporary discourse phenomenon and to give ample characterization of its fundamental features. Based on their comparative analysis of current literature in discourse analysis and cinematography, the authors look at the peculiarities of film discourse and differentiate between the terms „film construct‟ and „film discourse‟, concluding by discussing the relevance of using film materials as a prospective source for discourse research and analysis.
