Abstract:
The article deals with concessive connectors in the German language as derived lexical and grammatical units within the framework of precedent grammar, a new research area in cognitive linguistics. By analyzing the diachronic change of lexical and grammatical meanings of words (here, specifically, concessive connectors), the author comes to the conclusion about their precedent nature.
