Abstract:
In discussing the highly relevant challenge of developing foreign students’ communicative competence in Russian, the authors of the article propose that it can be successfully addressed through diverse and systematic work which, among other things, may include introducing foreign students to Russian anthroponyms. The authors substantiate their ideas by describing a classroom-tested system of exercises (with the focus on Russian anthroponyms) that clearly contribute to the development of foreign students’ communicative competence.
