Abstract:
The article examines issues of presenting and interpreting foreign cultural information in an original literary text and its reconstruction in secondary texts by means of verbal and non-verbal semiotic systems, looking specifically at the four plays of the drama cycle known as The Little Tragedies by Alexander Pushkin and studying their translations into foreign languages as well as into the languages of theatre, cinema, music, and painting. The study reflects some results of pre-translation and post-translation analysis of the original text and its secondary forms.
