ENSURING PSYCHOLOGICAL SECURITY IN THE PROCESS OF TEACHING A FOREIGN LANGUAGE AT THE UNIVERSITY

Abstract:

The article presents principles of psychological safety, discusses the relationship of psychological safety and a person’s psychological health, and specifies  positive factors that ensure psychological safety within the university environment as well as potential risk factors. The author claims that differentiated instruction  nd individual approach are the most important factors that foster psychological safety in teaching a foreign language at the University, and proceeds  to outline criteria for level-based differentiation of students and to describe algorithms of the teacher’s behavior.
