BOOSTING EFFECTIVENESS OF TEACHING TRANSLATION: ORGANIZATION OF CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES

Abstract:

The article highlights a new form of organizing students’ activities in a translation classroom. The peculiar feature of this new organization is a greater independence of students in the conditions of peer-moderated discussion of translation problems. A peer-moderated discussion ensures a higher level of student engagement, intensifies students’ analytical activity, and provides for a more critical attitude towards the results of their work.
